CONFESSION OF SALVATION FROM RECESSION
Glory to God! WOSEL wishes you Happy New Year 2017.
Whether you Work hard or smart just be godly, active and focused and thy harvest shall be plentiful!
I was in a Gathering of Saints of Christ at Christ Cares Evangelical Mission, Ijeun Titun, Abeokuta on the second of January, 2017 and at 5:45 a.m. it dropped in my heart to tell people that “If thou confess recession thou shall surely experience recession.” But We Shall not Experience that in Jesus Name.
Twelve Spies were sent to examine the land of glory, abundance, security, peace and goodness. Certainly there were portents of danger in that land:
Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. (Numbers 13:28-31)
About 83.3% of the spies were rightly but merely analytic and logical. That is not very good. In this life, one must be analytic and logical to deal with situations as rational beings but to succeed one can be illogical, at times. The fault with the ‘Ten out of Twelve’ is that they journey with fear. They allowed the spirit of fear. And fear has torment. They lack sound mind. Only two of the twelve spies have faith. At times, NO, not at times but most times, logic presents details with great emphasis on the risks. It’s not logic’s fault. It’s just that logic is realistic. But faith is super-realistic- beyond the visible and commonly possibly- not moved by what is seen. The people agreed with the Ten and all of them cried and decided to return to the land of slavery. As they said to God’s ears) that they would die so did God do to them. Heroes are risks takers! Great men are risk takers! Rich men are risk takers! God didn’t promise absence of threats of fire or storm or flood but He promised that fire will not consume us, waters will not drown us and He, being with us, will still the storm. And He said Fear not. To stop to trust God’s words even in the face of uncertainties is an act of backsliding. It is a sin to backslide. Fear is a sin because it does not come from faith and anything not of faith is a sin.
Now, in the country, there is recession. But God says (I did not hear an audible voice) that with heart we believe onto righteousness and with mouth we confess unto salvation. If we believe God, as it was for Abraham, it will be accounted for us as righteousness and It Shall be well with the righteous! We must confess salvation from recession- and give, always, a faithful assertion of God’s power and Love being with and working for us. Then we shall be saved. There will be breakthrough and there is recession. The latter is not over yet. When will it be? The ‘When’ should not concern us.
As we journey in this (NEW) year 2017 LET us go in the might (of God; of Faith- in His word) of ours. And then we shall “Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with US (I Chronicles 22:16).
Finally, Rahab knows the situation of fear and doom in her country. She saves herself and family by standing with and for God. Who can battle with God? Nobody! She chooses not to be in the gathering of the enemies of God upon whom the rod of God’s anger will descend. She chooses to align with God’s will. We must choose to align with God’s will- let us love what and whom God loves. And do His will. And it shall be well with us.
WOSEL thanks you a lot, dear victors.
