LITTLE MAMBA

Little mamba
Uncoiling,
The box, sealed for centuries,
Opening;

The treasure seeker, walked far into the forest,
Panting,
His eyes wide,
His cheek twisted
His head lowering,
Ready for the king’s keep

And a little flash of light
Gladdens the prisoner’s might
And death’s size regained

With death bites unleashed
