The Fruit I Love to Pluck

THE FRUIT I LOVE TO PLUCK
1
Today’s choice none can censure stressful
Our choices in times ne’er journeyed untagged
This bycatch  leisure course press me fretful
To raise the horn that all hagged be unhagged
Tis great panorama of nature’s health
At Unilag’s Lagoon Front we came today
Birds chirp and lovers smile at nat4ure’s breath
Nuts drop, crabs wink but fish play underway
Oh that my lungs be gills and skin be scales
And your limbs be fins, then we’ll swim abroad
I fear coconut’s love of height be tales
But fish swim with fears and birds fly abroad
Let our love be like waters that live long

Then my heart may rest from the threats of tong
