THE SWORD AND THE SHEATH The sword is sharp and the sheath is pink But they wink to connect though they may stink. So they must to think That they may not shrink or sink. They need to link Their lives with their dreams Their yesterday with today And today with tomorrow Then choose peace, satisfaction and life Or restlessness, condemnation and death. Unripe fruit to the lustful is sour, To the impetuous is bitter But patience and wisdom wait for the good fruit to ripe The co-existing enjoyment has lasting benefits not and not regrets.
